BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — Update:
The Boeing Starliner launch was scrubbed Monday night.
Officials are deeming the vehicle is not able to launch.
This was due to an oxygen relief valve issue.
United Launch Alliance said it would help get the astronauts out of Starliner so they could return to the Crew Quarters.
After the pad is clear, the ULA launch team will secure the Atlas V rocket.
In a news conference, Boeing, NASA, and ULA officials said the Starliner launch is postponed and it would take several days to repair.

The countdown is on for the milestone test launch of the new crew capsule.
The mission will send two veteran NASA astronauts to the International Space Station.

A United Launch Alliance rocket will be used to launch Starliner from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
A successful flight test will bring NASA closer to certifying the Starliner for future crew rotation missions to the Space Station.
“We’ve been striving to have two independent space transportation systems,” said Steve Stitch, a manager with NASA’s Commercial Crew Program. “That’s been our goal from commercial crew’s inception, and we’re very close to reaching that goal.”
