While the original 9-1-1 moved to ABC earlier this year, 9-1-1: Lone Star is finishing out its run on FOX. The series is helmed by Rob Lowe, who stars as a fire captain who moves to Austin, Texas, with his son (Ronin Rubinstein) to lead a group of first responders and build a new fire station following a devastating fire. The fifth season has been a long time coming (the show last aired in May 2023) and will serve as the series’ swan song. Gina Torres, Rafael Silva, Brian Michael Smith, Natacha Karam, and Jim Parrack help round out the cast.

Where to watch 9-1-1: Lone Star in the US
9-1-1: Lone Star airs on FOX on Mondays at 8 p.m. ET in the US. Cord-cutters can catch the network through various live TV services, including Sling TV, Fubo, or DirecTV Stream. These month-to-month streaming services are solid cable alternatives that usually forgo the long-term contracts found in traditional television providers.
Sling TV will be your cheapest option today, but local channel coverage is selective on Sling, so you should double-check that FOX is available in your region. If it is, you’ll want to subscribe to Sling Blue for access. The Blue plan offers a little over 40 channels — including USA, Bravo, and FX — for $40/month. For just the essentials without any extra fluff, Sling TV is the streaming service you’re looking for. It’s more customizable than other plans, with three options you can choose from, so you pay for only what you need. New members get their first month for $25 off.

Fubo is the streaming service for sports fans. Its huge library of channels includes regional and international sports leagues, setting it apart from the competition. You can also tack on additional programming to your plan, but it’ll cost you extra.
DirecTV Stream also offers expansive FOX coverage with all of their plans. The Entertainment + Sports Pack will be the cheapest option today. It costs about $95/month, but you can get your first two months for $80 each. There are also some savings opportunities in DirecTV’s contract plans, which are a great idea if you’re planning to hang onto the service as your main TV provider for a couple of years, but we also like their month-to-month plan for its flexibility.
Previously known as AT&T TV, DirecTV Stream offers streaming access to a large selection of live channels via an included Android TV box with voice control.
If you don’t mind waiting a little while, you can also catch new episodes of 9-1-1: Lone Star on-demand on Hulu after they air. New episodes become available at 3:01 a.m. ET on Tuesdays. This is the US streaming home of the past four seasons as well. Subscriptions cost $8/month for the ad-supported tier, but these prices will increase in October.
