Tired of hopping between streaming service platforms to watch the entire library of content you’ve subscribed to? Plex is a service that seeks to solve that and more. A free Plex membership gives users the ability to unify all of their streaming services under one app, and a paid Plex Pass adds even more control and features on top of that. This week only, new users can save big on a lifetime subscription.

Plex Lifetime Pass

A Plex Lifetime Pass grants you access to all of the Pass benefits without the need for a renewing monthly or annual fee. The perks include free downloads, hardware encoding, and much more.

Now through September 20, Plex is giving away 20% off a Lifetime Plex Pass with the promo code FOREVERPRO. Typically, premium membership costs $5 monthly, $40 annually, or $120 for a lifetime. Now, with this deal, it’s only $96 for a lifetime subscription, which is an absolute steal.

Even though free Plex membership has its fair share of great benefits, a Plex Pass is well worth the price if you’re an avid media watcher. The list includes downloads, intro and credit skip buttons, hardware transcoding, and more.

I’ve broken down how to get this deal below, and answered some frequently asked questions about Plex. For even more streaming service deals, check out our roundup here.

How to get the Plex Pass deal

What is Plex?

Plex is a streaming service aggregation platform that unifies all of your subscriptions under one website and app. That means if you’re subscribed to Hulu, Netflix, and Amazon Prime Video, you can now view all of the content from Plex.

The free service also provides users access to a selection of free on-demand movies and shows as well as free live TV programming.

What comes with Plex Pass?

Plex Pass adds a suite of sweet benefits for paid members, like skip intro and credits buttons, downloads, hardware transcoding, Plex DVR, and more.

Plex Pass is not a streaming service on its own. You still need to subscribe to external services or purchase video-on-demand options in order to watch via Plex.

When does the Plex Lifetime Pass deal end?

The deal officially ends on September 20, but for any last-second shoppers, you have until 6:59 a.m. UTC on Saturday, September 21 to get the discount.

How long does a Plex Lifetime Pass last?

A Plex Lifetime Pass is designed as a perpetual subscription that remains valid and active for as long as Plex offers its current service or until you cancel it. It will not have a renewal fee, nor does it have a planned end date.
