Gone are the days when further education required attending a class in person, notebook in hand. In 2024, getting the certification you need is as simple as finding an e-learning platform like Coursera and signing up for the right class. For a limited time, you can save 30% on Coursera Plus, the service’s premium subscription.

Though you can sign up for free and pay per course, Coursera Plus unlocks unlimited access to over 7,000 programs, including ones from Google, Microsoft, IBM, and Meta. Beyond expanding your skill set, learning opportunities like these can get you the certifications needed to score promotions and new positions. With programs like Google Data Analytics, Microsoft Project Management, and IBM Data Science at your fingertips, the possibilities are endless.

Now through September 30, Coursera Plus membership is 30% off, bringing it down to $280 instead of $399 for a year. This is a rare chance to save, especially since deals from the service are few and far between. After your first 12 months are over, it will automatically renew unless you cancel, which you can do anytime in account settings.

Is Coursera free?

Coursera is free to sign up for; you can even look over several different programs at no cost. However, if you’re interested in a degree or certification, you must pay for the course or sign up for Coursera Plus to be awarded one after completion.

Does Coursera offer degrees?

Coursera partners with universities to offer Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees online. These degrees are even available with flexible payment options, financial aid, and scholarships.

Is Coursera worth it?

As great as it sounds, Coursera is only worth it if you’re motivated to learn. We’ve successfully tested it and interviewed Coursera success stories, but for the service to work properly, you need to commit to completing the courses.

If you’re ready to take the next step in your career, Coursera is worth the subscription price in its breadth of programs alone. With so many major companies and educational institutions partnering with it to provide value-packed classes, the $280 price you’re paying can go a long way.
