This time Replays get a boost

Although Street Fighter 6 received its largest update to date alongside Akuma just last month, another significant patch is about to drop in a few days for the game.

Capcom just revealed a few more new quality of life features coming to SF6 in the update accompanying M. Bison to kick off Season 2’s content.

As was revealed in their latest post, the Replay feature is about to get a handful of new tools that should prove helpful to those who use it often (and those hoping to get more out of it).

Two additional speed options are going to be available with 1.1x and 1.2x playback on top of what’s already there.

More importantly for most, however, is finally getting the ability to rewind frames during a replay that can be used while paused.

Up to this point, players could set their playback speed to standard, 2x, 4x, and 8x for getting through the action faster while slowing it down offers 0.5x and 0.8x plus frame advance, so this allows for some better fine-tuning in finding parts specifically being searched for.

Moreover, you could skip back or forward around 8 seconds with the scene function, but if you missed or needed another look at an interaction that just happened, there wasn’t a fast way to go back just a bit.

The ability to finally rewind definitely makes combing through Replays sound more enticing.

These aren’t the only QOL improvements coming to SF6 shortly either, as Capcom previously revealed a handy new shortcut to launch the game straight into Training Mode.

Though it’s not really a new feature, Capcom is also making visual adjustments to both the health meter and Drive Gauge too, which should make situations like knowing when a character has access to Critical Art much easier to see at a glance.

With the big balance patch only around a month old, we shouldn’t really expect anything major to change in regards to how fighters play in the upcoming update aside from maybe some bug fixes, but we’ll know what all is actually being changed / added when the full patch notes drop officially.

All of this is slated to come to Street Fighter 6 along with M. Bison’s return as the first DLC character of Season 2 on June 26, so there’s not much longer to wait now.

More QOL improvements and additional features coming with the M. Bison Update.
