Rising star Christopher Shannon has made it his mission since 2008 to move menswear on from a legacy of fine tailoring through mix of colour-blocked and graphic-heavy streetwear.
Now the Central St Martins graduate is stepping his crusade up a gear by building on an internationally-renowned mainline collection with a new sportswear diffusion line: North Quarter by Christopher Shannon.
The 50-piece range, which launches this week, comprises jackets, sweatshirts, shirts, t-shirt and joggers in tech-led fabrics such as neoprene, bonded cotton and soft-shell constructions.
In an exclusive FashionBeans first look at some of the items, Shannon sets the tone for the new venture with a masculine colour palette of bright red, electric blue, slate grey and black, flanked by striking camouflage prints and overlaid graphics.
Along with elements taken his his catwalk collections, Shannon says the offshoot is designed for the “detail-obsessed male customer brought up on a diet of premium technical sportswear brands.”
We can’t imagine there’s any shortage of those, us included, so get a head start and plan your buy from the edit below.
North Quarter by Christopher Shannon will be available exclusively at Flannels from 25 August, priced from £40 for t-shirts to £180 for jackets.
