Looking good is no mean feat at the best of times, let alone when standing in a puddle of your own sweat. Luckily, high street giant River Island is stepping in with a new range of training kit designed to make the workout schlep more stylish. The soon-to-be-saturated gear, fronted by model-turned-exercise coach Roger Frampton, comprises 14 pieces assembled from tops, bottoms and outerwear in a masculine colour palette of grey, black and white, with bursts of acid yellow and electric blue. Fusing premium sports fabrics with contemporary design, RI Active includes a number of functional features such as cooling microfibre fabrics on t-shirts and a breathable mesh lining on a windbreaker, along with sealed zippers, headphone eyelets and concealed pockets. What’s your excuse now? RI Active will be available in selected River Island stores and online from 2 January with prices ranging from £15-£40.
